Re: Lookif for a installion tutorial

I am on a Linux host.
I created a directory for Pluck on hosting account server named pluck4-7; e.g. http://www.not-my-website-name.com/pluck4-7/.

Then I used Filezilla to FTP everything up to that subdirectory.
Pluck 4-7 has 3 directories- data,docs, images and five files - admin.php, index.php, install.php, login.php, and requirements.php

I then started up Firefox my web browser, and typed in the URL  http://www.not-my-website-name.com/pluc … ements.php.

I got an error message that magic_quotes_gpc should be turned off.

A quick email to the technical support department of my website resulted in the answer that I needed to create a  .htaccess file and add the line php_value magic_quotes_gpc off. After I did that and FTP that .htaccess file up to the subdirectory, I retried http://www.not-my-website-name.com/pluc … ements.php, and everything was fine. I clicked on the link on that page to continue on with the installation.

Very easy.
