Today I had to upload to a different webhost, and when I do the
installation, it is with "Minus" in all the directories that needs to
be writable. So I go in and change the listed folders/files to 777,
then they are "green" and I proceed the installation.
But then after entering the site name, email etc and then the data for
the first page and save, then I return as always to the startpage for
the administration area - but this is where the problem comes...
Then it comes up with a 404 error it I click on "visit website"
And if I try to add more pages, they are not saved.
If I try to go into the pages folder (via the ftp), then there are no
files there.
Please can you help me. What is wrong?????

And applying chmod 777 to the directories again doesn't work? Or maybe you get an error when trying to chmod?

Can you give us more information, in some way? For example, do you see PHP-errors? Or can you find them in the PHP error log?

I had the same problem. The online installer made apache/apache owner of the directories /data/settings/modules and /data/settings/pages. I removed these and recreated them manually with the correct owner and all works fine now.

Yeah, I have the same problem. If I'm trying to do new pages, I can start to create it but after trying to save it, it does back to page management, haven't saved any new pages, and when you'll try to view your page, it'll show your puck page but gives 404 on the new page you made.

Install pluck, and try to create new page still as it doesn't save it.
Go to your pluck data/settinings and delete both modules and pages directories, and create them both manually with same names: modules and pages.
Then go your plucks adminpanel and start doing your website ![]()

Pluck is not going to run on your lap top.
You will need to have a web site on outside server to run Pluck.
